Hope — Prostate Cancer UK Memorial

Prostate Cancer UK wanted a touring remembrance structure to raise awareness of prostate cancer while giving people the opportunity to see their loved one's name in person. It was one of the most quietly profound briefs I have ever been given.

My accepted proposal was a reflective steel pyramid, incorporating space for the charity's identity and the names of those lost. I called it Hope — conceived to bring an element of optimism to a subject that so often exists in silence. The belief behind it is simple: that with the right investment and awareness, the impact of prostate cancer can be reduced. The pyramid's reflective surface means that everyone who approaches it sees themselves in it. You cannot look at the names without also seeing your own face. That felt important.

Unveiled at London Bridge Station in November 2021, Hope has since toured major stations across the UK and is currently at Bristol Temple Meads.
