Mother & Child II

Mother & Child II is an original design I first worked up as a drawing, then made into a silver necklace.

You can see on this separate gallery how I have gone on to create one in solid American Walnut.

Pencil sketch The first drawing — the idea in its simplest form.

I first made this as a solid silver necklace, carrying my official hallmark as authorised by the Assay Office in London.

I then combined my photographic skills and those of a CGI artist to create the full-scale version of my work in situ. This involved very carefully photographing the location to ensure the reflections were true to the view from the object as well as the general landscape for the main background. CGI plays a major role in creating the vision for how any particular project may look once completed.

Dimensions: CGI/variable
Imagined Materials: Stainless steel.

The CGI build underway — working up the form, surface and reflective qualities of the full-scale sculpture.
