Chaos evolved directly from my award-winning Human: being sculpture and deliberately contradicts it. Where Human: being is about order, stillness and the aspiration toward perfection, Chaos embraces everything that resists those things.

Life is rarely orderly. It arrives from multiple directions at once, shifts without warning, and rarely resolves into the clean form we might wish for. Chaos is constructed to be viewed from any angle and no two angles are the same. The surfaces catch light differently depending on where you stand, the reflections fragment and multiply, and the overall form refuses to settle into a single reading.

That is, of course, entirely the point.

I wanted to make something that acknowledged what Human: being does not. That alongside the order we seek, there is the disorder we live with. The two works are intended to be seen together, as a conversation rather than a sequence.
