A CFM engine, reimagined as a honey dipper, one of the campaign concepts.
Over a ten year period, Gravity Global commissioned me on behalf of their client CFM International, the world's leading supplier of commercial aircraft engines for single aisle aircraft, to help communicate the engineering behind their products to the aviation industry and beyond.
The work took me across the States, into CFM's plants and facilities, and into my own studio in the UK for campaigns that were as creatively ambitious as they were technically demanding. Sometimes I was photographing these great machines themselves, and sometimes building and shooting elaborate constructed sets to achieve the brief successfully.
I loved these shoots. Getting close to the engineering, and the people building the engines was a genuine privilege, and one of the longest client relationships of my career.
The same campaign, built to billboard scale at the Paris Air Show. I nipped over to Paris to check this out!
